Questions
What Should I Bring?
You can bring whatever you want - pets, alcohol, food, other people - but if some suggestions include your bathing suit, a comfy pair of shoes (that you don’t mind getting dirty), and a change of clothes. The houses and dock are fully equipped with towels, life-jackets, bedding, and most of the necessities but if you aren’t sure ask Candy or Craig.
Is There Going to be Food?
You can usually always find something to munch on at the Lakehouse and the Shop House has snacks and drinks. Different events may have different meals planned so check the calendar to see if there is something specific planned or if it’s a YOYO (your on your own) day.
Can I Drive the Boat?
Do you know how to drive a boat? Go ask your dad (Craig)…
Whose House is this Exactly?
Built by Craig & Candy Hawkins, the Lakehouse, Garage Apartment & Shop House were all designed for family to stay. Jim & Betty Hawkins (Nan & Daddy Boo) live in the main lakehouse while Craig & Candy spend most weekends in the Garage Apartment.
Are There Other Places to Stay?
There are hotels and other accommodations in the area like the RV park and even camping grounds. Many who want to stay in a hotel choose Lindale which is a short 30 min drive but ask Candy or Craig for recommendations if you aren’t sure where you want to stay.
Why is There a Website?
Craig & Candy’s favorite daughter realized that they may never stop building, and definitely won’t stop hosting so she created this website to help keep the whole family up to date on what’s going on and hopefully help Candy with the arrangements.
